Travel insurance

I am not sure, it probably depends on how much your package is, but you should also check out insure my trip dot com to compare what Disney gives you. You plug some info in to Insure my trip and it gives you quotes from a number of insurers. You can then compare coverage levels etc.

It's a set amount per adult. I forget the exact amount but I wanna say like $74 or something. At least that's what the CM told me when I priced it out on our package for next year.

If you bought your trip with a Major credit card (not debit card) Such as Chase, Barclays, Citi, Amex, BoA, etc....Almost all of them have travel insurance.

I guess I should've said cancellation insurance. I'm worried about losing our hard earned money if we had a sickness or bereavement in the family.

Currently it's $77.50 flat rate per person age 18 and over, under age 18 covered for free. Will also cover flights on/near your package dates if purchased from Disney OR on your own.
This one does not go by trip cost.

We successfully made a claim on the insurance provided as part of our Chase Sapphire card when stomach flu meant we had to cancel a DCL trip at the last minute.

The credit card coverage, however, can be more limited than that which is available from travel providers or third parties. We were taking 2 14 year old friends with us to Hawaii and had no coverage for non-family members, even those traveling with us. -- Suzanne
