Travel Insurance and Day before arrival

If you arrive the day before your cruise are you still covered?
I've also wondered if you decide to stay the day before your cruise and stay at the Radisson for example are you still covered by DCL insurance? What about through Access or CSA directly? Does your trip start on the day before or the cruise day?

I've been looking at the online quoter on CSA and it started making me wonder about trip dates. If you book trip insurance separately what day do you put in for trip start - still the crusie day or day before? In total - if air is separate to be included for air cancellations or changes do you need to include that price and date?

If you book your insurance through DCL then NO, you are not covered for dates outside of your cruise dates booked through them.

With CSA you can cover whatever dates you'd like; I've done that myself as well. If you want to cover the air you need to calculate that into your total trip costs and use the dates inclusive of your air travel for your dates.
