We have booked AS for both the princess breakfast and the Chef Mickey breakfast during our upcoming trip.

I wanted to ask the veterans of the WL to let us know how the travel from WL to MK and CR is and how much advance time we will need.

Our AS are for 8:50 at CRT and 8:30 at Chef Mickey (CR).

Thanks for the help.

WL 9/8/05 - 9/13/05
ASMo 11/01

The boats to the CR started running at 7:30 a.m. and were very prompt and got you to the CR in less than 10 minutes. From there you can either monorail to the MK or you can walk which is another good 10-15 minutes. I'm not sure how long the monorail ride would take as you would be stopping at the TTC, the Poly and the GF before you got to the MK.

The boat from the WL to the MK had its first pick up of the morning at 8:30 b/c the park opened at 9:00.

Good luck and have a wonderful trip!!! :wizard:

Hmmm....we stayed at the same time and had a different experience. I guess it depends on whether you had to wait for a boat or not. Our first evening, we walked down to the dock around 7:30 then waited 20 minutes for a boat to CR. We had to go to FW first, so it was a pretty long trip. The next morning, we arrived at the dock around 8:15. Again, we waited for around 20 minutes for a boat to MK. It was after opening by the time we made it through the turnstyles. On Sunday, we had 8:05 reservations at CP. Despite arriving at the dock by 7:15 (maybe a little earlier), we were 20 minutes late for our reservation. (Fortunately, this wasn't a problem.)

I have 8:40am reservations at 1900 Park Fare at the GF. I am staying at the WL. I have to figure out the quickest way.

Hop on the MK bus at WL. They usually will stop at Poly and GF before heading to MK. Just hop off the bus when it picks people up at GF. However, I would ask the driver before getting on to make sure that it's still the case that he's going to make those stops. If the bus does stop at GF, your entire bus trip shouldn't take more than 10 minutes.

I guess we were just lucky when it came to the boats going to the MK. :sunny: We always caught the first boat and went to 3 morning openings for the park and were never late and thankfully it went straight to the MK without stopping at FW. Now coming home on the boats from the MK is another story.... :teeth:

We stayed at the WL two years ago and again, never had to wait for the boats in the morning b/c we always managed to catch the first boat.

Check out this site for transportation methods and approximate times:

That's a neat wizard, but I find the transportation options it gives to be somewhat unnecessary and often erroneous.

For instance, I put in "WL" and "GF" to see what it came up with. It mentioned either busing to the TTC, then taking the monorail over to GF (LONG trip), or boating to MK, then boating to GF (equally LONG trip). There was never a mention that you can just hop on the MK bus right at WL, and hop off at GF when it stops to pick up guests there. But I just happen to know this from experience.

The bus that goes from Wilderness Lodge goes directly to the Magic Kingdom it doesn't go to either the Poly or Grand Floridian...During different times of the year the busses going to EPCOT or MGM have shared the bus route with the Grand Floridian but not the Poly.

For your breakfast at CRT I would take the bus to Magic Kingdom it does start running before the Green Flag Boarts. (the larger boats that run between MK/WL/FT.Widerness) But you failed to say if the MK is opening early on the morning of your PS. If the Park opens early on the morning of your reservation the transportion will also start running earlier to the Park. Travel time appx: 40 min to insure you are there before your PS.

For your breakfast over at the CR I would do as others have suggested and take the Blue Flag Boats (smaller inter-resort boats) to the Resort. (operation hours 7:00am-10:00pm) Travel time appx: 30 min to insure you arrive before your PS

*NOTE: they have two Blue Flag Boats one runs clockwise (WL/CR/Ft.Wilderness) the other boat runs counterclockwise (WL/Ft.Wilderness/CR) So ask the captin of the boat which resort he/she will be going to first...

Below is the information on the bus route from Wilderness Lodge to Magic Kingdom I posted this last March on the Wilderness Lodge FAQ Thread.

Disney Transport will has a new route for the Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness. There will be DIRECT BUS SERVICE from Wilderness Lodge to the Magic Kingdom.
The Fort Wilderness "Orange" bus that would previously head to Wilderness Lodge and onto the Transportation & Ticket Center will now only head to the Wilderness Lodge. After the Magic Kingdom clears for the night, the original route that use to go to TTC will resume.

BOAT SERVICE WILL NOT CHANGE.

Hope the information helps with your stay.

Other then grabing a taxi...the quickest way to the Grand Floridian would be take the Wilderness Lodge Bus to Magic Kingdon then catch the inter-resort boat that runs between (MK/GF/Poly) the boat dock for the the GF/Poly is located next to the Resort Monorail Station. Or you could take a Blue Flag Boat from Wilderness Lodge to CR then go inside and up to the Inter-Resort Monorail and ride the monorail around to the Grand Floridan, either way is great and the Monorial ride is also fun.

You could also take the Monorail at the MK around to the Grand Floridian.

The reason that the Monorail isn't the quickest is because the resort monorails stop at each resort and the TTC which does make it a little slower.
