Help! I'm driving from St. Louis to FL this Friday and am worried about road conditions. I can either go any of the following routes:
A. I-55 South to Louisiana and then take I-10 across Mississippi and Alabama (the longest route of all)
B. St. Louis to Nashville then I-24 to Chattanooga and then I-75 through Atlanta to FL (normally the shortest route)
C. St. Louis to Nashville then I-65 through Huntsville to Montgomery, then US 231 through Dothan to I-10 (a bit longer than through Atlanta but usually about the same in travel time due to Atlanta traffic).
So, my neighbors to the South, what should I do? (And no, flying or staying home are not options that I want to entertain at this point!)
Thanks,
Karen

I've done the drive through Chattanooga many times. I would avoid it. That one mountain just before you get into Chattanooga is difficult enough in great weather, no way would I want to do that in ice and snow. It was raining and almost midnight when we got to Chattanooga in September and my heart was in my throat when we drove through there. I would avoid that at all costs.
