Our family will be leaving Animal Kingdom, dropping kid off at a Kid's Club, and then my husband and I will be doing a date night at Epcot.

That being said, which Kid's Club makes more sense
  • Simba's Cubhouse at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge.
  • Sandcastle Club at Disney Beach Club Resort.
  • Lilo's Playhouse at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort.
  • Camp Dolphin at Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel
At first, I was thinking Simba's made more sense because it's near Animal Kingdom, but maybe something near Epcot makes more sense since it would be on the way and easier for pickup.

We are staying off property, we have our own car, and we are there next Wednesday so the clubs will be still open :)

What's our best bet to maximize our time at Epcot? Thanks!

Where are you staying? Will you be driving yourself or using Disney transportation?

Where are you staying? If not at AKL or Poly, I'd use one of the clubs near Epcot. In addition to Beach Club, the Dolphin has one too. Much more convenient for dropping off and especially for picking up afterwards - you and DH would be able to walk between the kids' club and the International Gateway for Epcot and wouldn't need to worry about motorized transport other than from AK to the Epcot area and then from Epcot area to "home."

Edited to add: when will you be there? Disney announced this week that all of their kids' clubs will close July 31. I don't know whether the one at the Dolphin will continue to operate or not since it's not Disney's.

I agree with the PP but wanted to ask - when are your trip dates? You might have already seen this, but the kids' clubs will be closing after July 31, 2018.

Hmm, that makes it trickier (parking at Epcot resorts is tricky in general because people like to park there to go to Epcot)! The ideal would be to park at Beach Club (or Dolphin) for the entire evening, which you could do for sure if you valet park ($25 plus tip) and maybe could do for free since you'd have a reservation at the kids' club. Otherwise you'd need to park long enough to drop your son off and to pick him up again, with your car spending most of the evening in the main Epcot lot.

If Beach Club doesn't work out, then I think AKL would be better than Poly, because parking is a lot easier there.

He will be thrilled with that answer as that was where he went in 2015 and LOVED it. I was trying to be all about convenience, but this way, we'll both get our way LOL

Thanks guys!!

"The three Disney-run Children’s Activity Centers are Simba’s Cubhouse at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, Club Lilo at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and the Sandcastle Club at Disney’s Beach Club Resort." - Touringplans.com posted this on Jan. 15th 2018 Camp Dolphin isn't run by Disney and will still be open.

Pixar Play at the Contemporary is open and the kids can go there.
$65 per child (plus tax). Programming will run from 6:00 p.m. -10:30 p.m. Children must be fully potty-trained. In order to check children in and out of the experience, parents will be required to be physically present.

Guests can reserve their spot now at the Pixar Play Zone by calling 407-824-KIDS.

I vote Sandcastle Club at Beach Club. It's smaller than Simba's Clubhouse, but much more convenient for your plans.
