I was trying to find out the best way to get back and forth from the Port of Orleans in DW to Universal. We will be doing this for 3 days? Please let me know if you have an y suggestions.

Hi reddawg, and welcome to the DISboards.

Would these be consecutive days that you will be going to USF/IOA? If so, I would recommend staying onsite at Universal rather than commuting back and forth each day. No need to rent a vehicle, no parking fees and you would get front of the line access.

But, if you don't want to stay at Universal, then the next best thing would be to rent a car for the 3 days and drive yourself back and forth.

If the days are not consecutive, then a taxi would be a good alternative. It's not the cheapest but it would be more direct.

The cheapest way would be to go by Lynx bus. However, you would be married to the bus schedule and you would need to make transfers. The commute could take quite a long time.

We are staying at OKW for the duration of our trip. We are doing 2 days at US/IOA and a day trip somewhere else. Instead of forking out the dough to a towncar service or Mears or taxi, we are renting a car at the Car Care Center near MK. We have it from 9am Fri-9am Mon. I believe it is an intermediate size car and it was $98 out the door. We do need a booster seat for our 5 y.o. DS (as required by FL law) and that put us up to $113. That is a lot cheaper than staying at US plus it gives you the flexibility to go shopping, eating out, etc. We will re-stock our groceries while we have the car and also eat off Disney property as we get tired of Disney food. You can get the car from the CCC or at the Dolphin. I priced both and it was cheaper to go with the CCC.
