Travel from CBR to Downtown Disney?

Hi everyone. We are staying at CBR and a morning flight just became available. I am so tempted to switch (we are currently booked on a night flight) but that would mean the kids missing another day of school. (for a total of 6....) I am thinking of just switching the flights and relaxing that day and swimming/downtown Disney. But, how do you travel from CBR to DD? Is there a bus similar to how the buses to the parks work? (last time we went to Disney many years ago we stayed at POFQ and just took the boat) I want to make sure I can actually get there before I actually switch! Thanks.

Yep, you take a bus from CBR to what is now Disney Springs (aka downtown Disney). And the bus works exactly like those to the parks--you wait for the one that says Disney Springs, and hop on. There is a new, huge bus stop at Disney Springs that is fairly central to everything.

Great - but now I am totally confused - lol. Is downtown Disney and Disney Springs the same thing? When we went before, we walked around outside and had dinner at the dinosaur restaurant. Is this the same place?

Disney Springs is the newly invented DTD. It is greatly expanded and improved. TRex, the Dinosaur Restaurant is still there along with many new shops, entertainment areas and restaurants v

You won't recognize much of it! The Marketplace is still pretty much the same. But PI is gone, there are many, many more restaurants and stores!

Is it still fun to walk around? We probably will just window shop (who knows though...) and my boys want to eat at T-Rex.
