Perhaps yet another trip planning thread, sorry about that. But I'm having some problems finding out the best way to travel from Beauvais Tille Airport to Disneyland Paris. Does someone here know the best way to do this? (arrival time is around 20:00, on a friday)

Not a problem Chris K - this is a trip planning forum!! :thumbsup2 Welcome to the DIS

If you've not seen it already, there is some information about Beauvais, including transport options, in this thread which you can also find in the Useful Information sticky. :)

Thanks for your help, Bexx!

I think the best thing to do is to travel with Beauvais Airport Shuttle (beauvais[dot]airport-shuttle[dot]com/beauvais_shuttle[dot]htm) from the Airport to DLP. We're two persons, so the price will be 45 Euro per person. I just hope the shuttle can drive us that late in the evening (8/9 PM). It says "From Beauvais -> Departure time: all the day for each flight", so I guess that won't be a problem.

Is this the best way to do it? Or does someone know a better way?

Sorry I can't help Chris k but just wanted to say :welcome: to the DIS!

I don't know how long you are going for but we hired a car last year as the coach then the underground looked way too complicated.
It was a little more than the cost of the transport but worth the extra as we did some shopping for snacks etc. which would have been more expensive onsite.

We're staying two days at Santa Fe, and then one day in Paris. I guess hiring a car would be great, but unfortunately, I do not have a drivers license, heh.

Many thanks for the Beauvais Airport Shuttle link, Chris - I've added it to the list. :) Looks like reasonable value :thumbsup2

No problem. Next month we'll find out if they're trustworthy or not. If I don't find a better solution for my "travelling problem", that is. :)

No, we're flying with "Fly Norwegian". A norwegian company (doh), hehe.

Then I think the shuttle is your only choice.

Ryan air has a bus that goes into the centre of Paris but at that time of night I am not sure I would fancy the station where it takes you.

Whats wrong with the Porte Maillot station? Its in a very upscale neighborhood and is very safe. Of course, it would take an eternity to do the bus/metro/rer combo so I agree that the shuttle service is the way to go assuming they are reliable.

Yes, it would take a long time. At Beauvais Tillé's homepage, they say that the way to get to DLP is to take the bus to Porte Malliot, and then series of metros to the park. The shuttle will cost 55 Euro per person, pretty expensive.

:scratchin

My friend has taken the bus from Beauvais to Paris around 10pm at night before - herself - and she had no problem. The bus drops you beside the Hotel Lafyette, and from there the metro station (Porte Maillot) is only about a 10 minute walk away - if you need directions PM me. You are only on the metro for about 2 stops, then you change at Charles de Gaulle Etoile to get to Disneyland - I think it is in the direction of Chateau de Vincennes, or La Defense - I will check this! It really is very very simple, and I reckon is your best and cheapest bet.

I agree with tink if you are on a budget then the bus / metro isnt all THAT hard. You would take the line 1 direction Vincennes, get off at Charles de Gaulle Etoile and board the RER A direction Marne la Vallee Chessy. Hint: When on the RER platform look above your head and you will see a board with the stops listed. If the stop is illuminated or has a white dot by it, then it is served by the train, if it does not then you need to wait for the next train. The sign refreshes after the train leaves the station to display info for the next train. Count 1 hour 15 mins to get to Disney via Metro / RER.

The Metro should only be a 2-3 min walk from the drop off. Shouldnt be 10, perhaps Tinks friend over looked the nearest entrance and went to one further afield.

Yes sorry i realised after I posted that 10 mins was actually an exagerration. Do be aware that if you are returning to the bus station for 5-7pm that the RER is very very busy at this time, however you will not have a problem getting a seat as the RER leaves from Marne La Vallee first, but it can be a bit of a horrible exercise trying to get you and your bags off the train.

I am not sure that I would fancy any inner city train station at 11pm in any country. :confused3 Somewhere I read that it wasn't safe there but I surrender to your better knowledge. At the questioner wasn't flying Ryan air there must be some query as to whether there is actually a bus.

Thanks to everyone for advices. I have made my decision. We're travelling with Beauvais Airport Shuttle from Beauvais Tillé to DLP. Let's just hope they are reliable.

Really the inner city stations are the most safe I would say. Notably in an upscale neighborhood. Some of the most expensive real estate in France is inside the city "walls" of Paris.

You are right in that with any underground system it is best to use prudence and be aware of your surroundings, even more so at night. The French eat dinner fairly late so you can mostly count on a decent amount of people in the system within the city up until near midnight.

I've changed my decision. Beauvais Aiport Shuttle doesn't answer my e-mails. I'm going to call them and cancel my reservation.

So then we'll have to take a bus from Beauvais to Porte Maillot, a taxi from there to the Metro, and then the metro to Disneyland? Can we ride the metro at 11PM?
