Hi,

We are booked to go in September and stay at the Davy Crockett Elsie will be 6 months old at the time of our trip. I was just wondering what the travel cots are like? How big and did your little ones settle in there happily?

Many thanks

I stayed at the Davy Crockett last year when my DD was 1, the travel cot was fine normal size to a lindam one. Only thing is we put some blankets down for her to lay on so it was softer, wasn't needed but I thought it would be nice lol

Staying at Davy Crockett again this year, in September too, and asked for one again.

Also they provide highchairs if you ask for one, we didn't know this last year!

oh really thats brilliant thank you!

I wanted to ask about bedding as well! Do they provide sheets etc for the cot? I dont know if that sounds really silly lol, this will be our first time using a travel cot!

You get 1 sheet and 1 blanket, we took some with us though, and I'm glad we did as she was poorly one night, and I think a familiar smell helped too.

Travel cots are easy and very handy, one evening we had it out the front of the cabin so she could play in it while it was still sunny.

thats what I was thinking I was going to take her own knowing my luck she would be ill and not have any more bedding and having to do washing on holiday :( what size bedding did you take? x x x

we stayed in DCR in sept for belle's first birthday and the travel cots a good size and clean. I bring my own foldable travel cot matress (i have issues about babies sleeping on used matresses) and i also bring my own bedding a travel cot sheet that i got from mothercare so that its a usual smell and also to stop any possible allergies, i though it was worth buying the matress and the sheet as she has already been to disney 5 times so its really had its use plus she will probably be in the travel cots on hols until she is around 3! Plus she is in a sleeping bag at home so that comes with us as well. My lo was fine in the travel cot and slept really well. have fun :thumbsup2

I took a flat sheet which fits a normal cot bed. Plus we got a single sheet and cut it in half so there was 2 extra sheets, as we always stay in Bourbourg for a few day's after DLP.

I think you can request extra bedding, I know they charge for the adult beds, not sure if they would for children.
