Travel Clothesline

I got a portable clothes line thing at EVERYTHING A DOLLAR store years ago that has like 24 clothes pins on it and folds up simular to an umbrella with a hanger type of hook on it. Been using mine for years and they still goin strong one of the best things I ever bought for a buck.

Usually hang it over the shower curtain rod at the hotel till shower time then it moves to the closet area till showers are done. Then back to the shower rod.

Magellan's (a travel catalog) has one for about $9. It's made of a couple of lengths of rubber tubing - you can tuck clothes in between so you don't need clothespins. I don't remember how it hooks to things (I think it has hooks and suction cups), but seemed really great - it's meant for travel.

Hi Everyone:
Again, thanks for the replies. I tried Target, Home Depot and the Dollar Store over the weekend. No luck at any of them. Home Depot had one, but the one they had actually screwed into the wall, definitely no good. Target had none in the regular or camping area. I tried one of the Dollar Stores and they had none, there is another one I am going to try. If not, we'll check the Super Walmart in Florida when we are there picking up other items.

I got one as part of a "laundry care" kit at Travel 2000 a few years ago. It was the suction cup/tuck between twisted elastic kind and came with a few packets of Woolite. To be perfectly honest, I wasn't terribly impressed with the travel clothesline. For one thing, it's not adjustable, so if it's not stretched wide enough, wet clothes could pull it down. For another, I don't trust the strength of the suction cups. Wet bathing suits are heavy!

I like MelodyMack's suggestion of suction cup hooks. They're pretty strong and take up less space than a clothesline. Plus, I just happen to have an unopened package of two at home! Thanks for the reminder! I will put them in my suitcase tonight!

I've seen the ones like mine at Target and Walfart and Kmart from time to time they are in the housewares section usually around where the clothes lines and stuff are.

Clothes Pins came attached on mine some of them have fell off from time to time but very easy to stick back on.

Yes, all the hotels we've stayed at at WDW have had retractable clotheslines in the tub... funny how many people don't know that they're there!!

OT... :wave2: hi solferino!

I'm sure they are not in the Master bath in the 2 bedroom units at OKW (where there is just a jacuzzi in one part and an oversize shower in the other part. I'm pretty sure they are in the bathtub/shower combination of the other bedroom though.
Another thing that might work at OKW is to use the laundry room. There are wire grid shelves above the washer that hold the alundry basket and something else (maybe a pail? Can't remember). We bring some wire hangers and hang things we want to dry from those using the wire shelves. You could also clothespin things to the shelf wire.
NOTE: This is only an option at OKW since the other DVC resorts don't have a laundry room. OKW has full size washer and dryer in a separate laundry room, so there is about 5 feet of shelf above them. The other DVC resorts have a small, stackable washer and dryer in a closet in the living room area.

I was in a 1-bedroom suite at BCV and the retractable clothes line was in the shower stall.

Could you just use the clips of the hangers and clip them there.
