I was just wondering- I have seen tons of travel network channel's shows about Disney, Seaworld, Dollywood, other theme parks and water parks but never US or IOA. Has there ever been a program related to either and if not why not??

Thanks
Kim

A long time ago, they used to show a US/IOA show on the travel channel. I remember they covered the building of Seuss Landing and how the trees came from a hurricane damaged area. They also covered the Spiderman ride. I haven't seen the show in years though.

They might not be showing them because there might be enough changes and therefore made the shows outdated. E.G the old shows don't talk about the Shrek movie or the Jimmy Neutron movie. Also Nickelodeon studios is no more as is Back to the Future. Also the new coaster will be opening soon and they would have to incorporate that in to the show as well.

If you die hard fans out there noticed that some of the content on the Disney shows was updated when Expedition Everest, the Nemo Show, The Seas With Nemo and Friends, and other attractions were either opened or updated.

Maybe Universal doesn't have the resources Disney has to re edit the shows as they see fit.

This is probably true but I would still love to see something once in a while. It seems like the Travel Channel shows WDW programming at least once or twice a month, and I have seen all of the shows.

Yeah, I've seen the IOA special a few times. I hope they film a new one for Universal and then another one when Harry Potter opens.

the only show on the travel channel i have seen is when they show the one for HHN.

and that one is old and repeated over and over.....

they really need to redo that filming and make a current one.

HHN has grown a lot since they did that one shown on tv.

I have the HHN special and part of the IOA special recorded on VHS. I really wish they would play more Universal stuff on the Travel Channel. I love the Disney specials, but even those are getting old.

If anybody has DirectTV with On-Demand active, sometimes they can download 5 minute+ shorts featuring Universal Rides. I just checked and they have Terminator 3-D and The Jurrasic Park Ride, but both are the Universal-Hollywood versions.

With Universal linked to the SciFi Channel, I always thought it would be cool if they had an October show dedicated to the current HHN.

For anyone who has Comcast On-Demand there is a 7 or 8 minute special under the Travel Channel On-Demand that talks about the Hulk roller coaster.

I actually own the Halloween Horror Nights special on DVD. Universal used to sell it at its parks.

It's called "Universal's Halloween Horror Nights: The Art of the Scare."

i have the vhs tapes they used to give out when you booked packages.

i only kept 4 of the years tapes. They were the type that shows the 1991's and beyond highlights of the universal park and things about the rides, etc.

brings back sweet memories......:goodvibes
