Travel by car from Maine

Hi Folks! Down to the final days now and can hardly wait! Looking for easiest travel route from Maine to Orlando. We're leaving the New Brunswick/Maine Border at approximately 3:00 pm on Wednesday. The I-95 looks like the most direct and obvious route, but we're bit concerned about driving through the major cities. Any seasoned travellers know any alternate routes to avoid some of the major cities? Thanks in advance!

well, it's really the best way to go.

Dont drive THRU the cities go around...for instance..

We go around NYC by going 84 to 684 thru NJ and get back on 95 on the jersey turnpike...in DC, and Richmond take I think it's 295 or something similar...

good luck- we'll be doing the trek down 95 in april, only we start in Vermont...
