Hi guys

They just had a show on about Orlando which was really good, i know you may have all missed I just stumbled across it but guess what it will be repeated tonight (well it is sky)!!!!:

Tonight 23:00

Tomorrow 13:00

It was pretty good showed shops, resturants, universal and seaworld. Apparently there is a seperate show for Disney but have no idea when that is on.

I would tape it but dont have a clue how to use the video (dont laugh) it gets on my nerves!!!!!!

Hope some of you get to see it, it was well worth a watch

Hugs

Good news :D - the Walt Disney World edition is on next week. Monday 28th at 8pm and 11.30pm, then again on Tuesday 29th at 1pm in the afternoon. The programme is called Travel Bug.

Hi Peebee

How on earth did you find that out. I looked on the travel bug site but the florida bit did not work.

cheers for the info

hugs

;)

Just lucky, I guess - found the programme last night that you recommended (thank you for that), and afterwards used to planner on Sky to see when it was next on. Lo and behold next Monday had just what we were all looking for.

I also confirmed it against a site named digiguide - www.digiguide.com - they have online listing for most of the channels. This can be really useful if you miss something and wonder if it's repeated again on another channel. The BBC seem to do this all the time with BBC Choice.

Cheers,
Peebee

I did - it was nice to see a travel show that presented things a little differently to normal. So many of the holiday shows concentrate on the same old attractions, but this managed to find a few new angles. Well done for finding it in the first place - did you enjoy the programme ?

Looking forward to next week's edition now on Disney now - only 35 days to go then we are off to the sunshine :smooth: One night at Coronado Springs (Thanksgiving evening - all that was free), 7 nights at Port Orleans Riverside, and 6 nights at AK Lodge - these programmes are really helping to get me in the mood!

Hi Peebee

Cant believe you need any encouragement for excitement i would be all over the place :teeth: lol

So lucky i am still trying to decide where to stay next year, really want to book next week and want to do 2 weeks on I Drive and a week in the Keys but not until next Oct/Nov :(

For now i just have to make do with travel programmes, all the free vids and of course the boards :p

Thought the show was really good and as you say looking forward to seeing the one next week. loved the fact it showed you other stuff to like shopping and food;)

Anyway pleased it put a smile on your face, not jealous much LOL

HUGS

Well, there is a kind of special reason for the trip - unfortunately my other half and I are being made redundant (from the same company :() next week, and the trip is a way of having a nice positive experience to get over it all - we'll get back, enjoy Christmas, then start looking for jobs.

Your next year's trip sounds great - 3 weeks would be wonderful, especially at that time of year. Have you thought about spending a few days on-site at WDW as well ? - you can normally get some great discounts during Oct-Dec at Disney - we're getting 45% off the normal price of the rooms with an AP discount, which is kind of what convinced us to go.

ohh that is crap - we have had tons of that going on at my place you just never know.

Think that is an excellent idea though - if it were me i would have done that to.

When you stay onsite for a couple of days do you take all your stuff and repack etc or do you just take an overnight bag, I was thinking of doing that but could not bear to pack 3 times.

Something to think about though ;)

hugs

Oh, thank you! We're just looking forward to getting our freedom from work for a while now - it's been liking being in an undertaker's for the past few weeks!

We've never stayed onsite for just a single night, so that will be different. I think we'll try to organise the packing so the first full day's gear is at the top of the suitcase, and do the minimum amount of unpacking possible. As for the others it will probably be the full ceremonial suitcase emptying, etc :D

It's fun to see the different resorts, especially at Xmas, and Disney are really good about moving your cases from resort to resort too - just call them up on the morning of the move (or the night before if you're feeling organised) and let them know. We'll have a car for a few days this time, and we want to do some shopping and nip down to Busch Gardens, but we normally find it works ok with just disney transportation too.

hi Peebee and co

the Disney one has just been on did you all see it (for those of you that have sky and cable), repeated again tonight looked good

hugs

T;)

Has anyone found this channel on cable tv, I have looked and have only found travelshop 1 and two and Thomas cook tv, any suggestions

I have no idea but Tony Bush posted on this thread saying that it was called the travel channel which is probably no help at all and i am probably stating the obvious as you would have probably see in  lol sorry why did i bother

It is repeated again tonight so it gives you a few hours to search that is once again no overly helpful is it sorry hugs T

Hi Tracy

I enjoyed the show.......BUT.......not sure about the presenter or his lilac shirt......I couldn't help notice he wore it to all 4 parks, DD, and even in the cinema in the UK............

:jester:

(hope he's not related to any of you.............:p )
