hi everyone! i wanted to ask my fellow canadians this question.
Have you ever used expedia,travelocity,cheaptickets.com etc for booking packages flight+hotel.
have you had good experiences with these companies or are their hidden fees?
thanks!

I've used Expedia for flights and packages to the Caribbean. I last used them in the fall to book two tickets to Vegas - $400 each tax in from Toronto. Once I booked the tickets, I was even able to go to the airlines website and select my seats. I've never had a problem. I think I recall the fee to book two tickets was $20.

I was just looking at Westjet vacations, they have some pretty good prices. I priced out doing it myself flying from Buffalo or flying from Toronto and out of Toronto was only $100 more and better flights (leave early and return at noon)

The two times I went to Vegas I booked flights with Expedia.ca.

The last trip, which was March of last year, I found an amazing price at the Luxor on their site. It was about $59 per night instead of the usual $125 or more. There wer no cancellations, no changes, allowed. We booked so close to going that we had no concerns. The woman in the hotel reservations made it very clear that we were paying for the six nights whether we were there or not.

The first trip we stayed off the strip and rented a car and got great prices on both by booking through the hotel. The car was not planned but we got a rate we were happy with at the agency.

I feel all the fees are spelled out very clearly on expedia.ca or travelocity.ca
