Travel between resorts?

This might be stupid, but what is the best way to travel between resorts- we will not have a rental car. We arrive around 5:00 in the evening at POR- I think we may want to do dinner that evening at the Concourse-

I have not traveled buses that often..only from the monorail resorts to Disney Studios and AK but you can also just take the bus from POR to MK (not sure how it is marked) and take the 5 minute walk over to the CR-Concourse.

Arriving at 5pm (don't know how many hours you might be traveling that day), add check-in time, walk to room, leave luggage, travel time to bus stop, wait for bus, possible transfers, wait again, ride again...and it could be later than you want it to be.

Considering it is your first night, it might be a good idea to consider a taxi so you you can manage your time and just to make it easy on everyone.

Catch a bus to the nearest park and then catch a bus, boat, or monorail to the resort you want to go to.

For POR to Contemporary catch the bus to Magic Kingdom, then either walk or ride the monorail to the Contemporary.

Don't make a ressie for dinner your first night, you don't know what airplane delays you might have.

Without a reservation you don't have to catch an expensive cab, and the travel time by bus (Disney actually recommends allowing 1-1/2 hours considerning a bus may pass you by full although it usually takes much less time) won't get you too anxious.

You can do the bus to DTD to the CR.

Personally, I do a cab between hotels. It's quicker and easier and less hassle.
