travel agents response

My TA (also w/ SmallWorldVacations) usually emails within a few hours. She's very good at notifying her clients when she'll be away also. I can't complain. I've used her to plan 3 trips so far.
 
Good morning. Not sure if this is the right place. Please move if you need to. I was just wondering. :confused3 When you email your travel agent - how long till they respond back? Mine is really good in planning and getting reservations. But I can't seem to get her to email me back when I have questions. I try to include all my questions in the email. IF she emails me back - she doesn't answer my questions! I really don't like to call. I know they are very busy and I am not her only customer. Just wondering about everyone else. Thanks for letting me vent.:sad1:

Your TA might be busy but she works for you and should respond to your email if not the same day then the next at the latest.

Its no fun to use one and then they turn out to be crappy. That was the case the one and only time I have ever used one. I would rather do my own.
 
Thanks everyone. :guilty: It's just I feel guilty (which I shouldn't) about changing. I have used this travel service for about 3 years and I always get the same lady. She is so nice and she does get the job done - in her own time! I guess the next trip I will request someone different and see how that goes. By the way - right after I posted this thread - she emailed me! Strange huh?:confused3 We are 53 day from WD-Day.:dance3: I will just keep bugging her until I get our Magical Express Tickets. Everyone - have a great day!

As some people said, you can get just as good of a deal when you book yourself. The reason I used a TA for this current vacation (I typically book everything myself for most places) is because it allows me to ask questions or even nag without feeling guilty. Our TA has been great so far both in terms of answering questions, offering advice, and getting what we want. She sent plenty of helpful materials (I recognize them from the various web sites) to help with planning. She will do out ADRs for us (which is working real nice because we will be on vacation and may not be able to call on the 180 day mark). She will get back to me within a day usually (either e-mail or phone).
Before I selected this TA from SWV, I called a local agency. No one was there that could take my call (all were busy and I did want to wait) so I left a message. A WEEK later I get a return message. I just ignored them. However, now they were calling every 2 days.....
A TA provides service, if you do not get the service you need, you should look for a different TA.
