Trauma in the Zippy household!!

So, as we are in our final week of countdown we had been struggling with our sky box - failing to pause or download things due to the hard drive failing. A couple of sky engineers came by and replaced our box (for the latest one).

DD 15 had been having an afternoon nap during their visit and on waking came through to the lounge and realised we had new box .... DH and I held our breath waiting for reality to dawn on her... she said it's saved our planner right? ... we avoided eye contact and said no - nothing is saved. Then it happened, reality hit - she glazed over and her eyes watered... my disney countdown? Gone - we replied - she burst in to tears

Way back in April when the Disney Movie Channel launched she recorded the countdown 'Till the magic begins' with the intention that we would play this before we left for Heathrow... alas her plans were in tatters .... the magical countdown was no more.... DH had to spend the next 15 minutes hugging her and consoling her that we were still going to Disney with or without a countdown.... it actually bought a tear to my eye watching her!

Am I the only one with a child so soppy?

Oh i do hope thats it! I too have a DD14 who would be in tatters if her Disney Planning had gone wrong.Fingers crossed for you

I am so glad its that , I think its a bit condensed down from the original but I hope that cheers up your daughter.

I remember how gutted I was when we changed our sky box and I lost all of my Greys anatomy LOL.

I;ve got one of 24 who would be just as devastated!!! She only has to hear the opening bars of 'When you Wish Upon a Star' for her eyes to fill up!

She's just applied for a job at Disney and I've no idea how she'd cope listening to the music and being part of the magic!!!
