Trattoria del Porto - no longer offer dinner buffets?

I was just recently told that the Trattoria del Porto at PBH no longer has dinner buffets. Is this correct? The website shows certain nights.

Actually, I'm asking this because I don't like buffets. I made a priority seating for my upcoming trip, then noticed that on the website it's one of the nights that offer buffets. I was going to change it, but then I was told that they don't offer dinner buffets anymore. But I'm seeing a lot of posts that mentioned that they just recently dined there and it was a buffet.

Does anyone know for sure?

Call the hotel directly and ask at the front desk.

I'd be interested to know what you find out. We did the same thing. Made a reservation at Trattoria, found out it's a buffet and canceled!

I did call the hotel directly and was told that they no longer have dinner buffets unless it's during the holidays. It sounded like it has been like this for a long time. But I notice a lot of posts where they said that they had the dinner buffet.

Actually, I think I've decided on not bothering with it. I'll just go with another restaurant. I'd hate to be told that it isn't a buffet and end up getting there and it is.

Perhaps the posts just said they had the buffet. There is still a breakfast buffet.

When we were there (Sat July 17th), it was a sit down with an offering of an unlimited pasta bar.

DH & BIL each got the pasta bar and said it was delicious. Everyone had a sampling and agreed (even the 2 "nana's" FROM Italy!)

Choose your pasta and mixings and the chef makes it up for you....shrimp, sauce, sausage, veggies, etc... I think it was $18.95 for adults and $9.95 for kids.
