Trash watch 2009

WOW 219/220 posts and 15 pages later....and yes the magazine is till on the floor in my room, I may pick it up today, as it attracked a friend laying next to it.

I put the Christmas deco that were sitting in the living room closer IN A RUBBERMAID and put them closer to the stairs.

Dh was so happy they weren't in the living room anymore. He said 'Oh, I'm glad those are gone!' I said 'I put them by the really heavy rubbermaid that's been sitting by the steps for 3 months. Could you puh-leeeeze take them downstairs!??!!'

They are still there.:headache:

Yay! :cheer2: Another watch!

Lara you are a much wiser woman than my DSis:thumbsup2

In the early years of their marriage Diane, a working mom, soon tired of picking up after her DH. To make things easier for him she placed a small clothes hamper right next to his side of their bed. Apparently he didn't see a 20" high hamper! I am not holding out much hope for your paper being observed.

Oh, and it was her DH's dirty sox & jockey shorts that were piling up next to their bed. :scared:
Mmm, really set the mood for romance!

Oh, & when he ran out of undies & sox he just bought more! :scared1:

Diane has now been picking up after him for almost 30 years :headache:

Ive been watching this and its inspired me, TODAY I shall clean my room and move stuff to my guest room. time for a orgization thread

Well, the trash is still there. So are the bins of Christmas decoratiosn by the way.

We're on day 10. I'm starting to waver. I think that the only way that piece of paper will ever be put in the trash is by my hand. I'm going to up the anti and add some money, but I'm starting to despair.

Hang in there and stay strong!!!! DO NOT pick it up yourself!!!!!
How about putting some kind of flashing light on it. DD has a very annoying flashing christmas light necklace that would work great.:lmao: Wanna borrow it???

I'm gonna brag - my bins were downstairs on December 31. The same day we took the decorations down!!!!! :cool1: :cool1:

DH's home office is in our basement & we spend a lot of time down there as a family because it's remodeled. Anything I want taken down gets put right next to the stairs & the next person going down knows to take it & put it away!

Yes. My father is coming into town today for the innaugaration. I have to clean the house today. He would pick it up in a heartbeat, so I'm thinking I can't leave a piece of paper on the floor.

On the other hand, it would be interesting to let them in on the joke. We're on day what, 14?

Oh Good Grief..it's still there?????!!!!!!!!:sad2:

Don't pick it up!!! Once parents become grandparents, they are masters at the art of placing a guilt trip. Let your Father know how long that paper has been sitting there, and let him handle it!!!

I like this idea! :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

Day 14...Christmas bins are downstairs, trash hasn't moved.

My entire house is clean right now (not a usual thing) because I have company. The trash hasn't moved an inch. It is the only trash on the floor in the house. No one NO ONE has touched the trash or the money on it. Unbelievable!

Only .75. I'm going to break out the bills tonight.

I would be seriously annoyed when they noticed $1 on top of the trash and THEN picked it up. I'd be annoyed right now, period, and would have gone postal on everyone, ranting and raving about the piece of paper laying on the floor.

Do we know how it got there?? I can't remember and am too lazy to go back and look.

edit: Just read my last sentence, I am as guilty as everyone in your house!!!
