Trash to Treasure Swap.

I would like to thank everyone for the packages you sent in. I got all the packaged swapped out this past weekend. I put all the packaged in the mail Tuesday (3/12) afternoon. I hope you all enjoy what you receive. Please, remember what I stated in the opening of the swap. You may get back things you really like and you may get back some items that you don't care for. That is the whole purpose of the swap to see if you can find a treasure or two.

There are ten people or more in the swap. Everyone sends in 20 scrapbook items that you don't need any more. Once all the items are received then the supplies are swapped out with the other traders. You get back an envelope of about 20 different items. They may be exactly what you want or something you don't need again. That is what makes it a trash to treasure swap.


If you would like to participate in this swap, please personal message me or send me an email. babs@cinci.rr.com I will then send more detailed instructions about the swap.

I'll make this a quick swap so the deadline for the items to be in my hands will be Friday, March 8th. I will then swap everything and get the packages back in the mail by Tuesday, March 12.

The more people that sign up means more stuff to swap so spread the word.

what counts as an item? A sheet of paper? A page of stickers? what if a few stickers had been used?

this sounds interesting, but I'm not sure if I have 20 things that I would feel comfortable sending off.

(sounds stupid but I would hate to send the 20 worst things i have because I would assume no one else would want them either!)

I would say an item would be a sheet of paper, a module of stickers, a module that is a single sticker, a die cut, small bag of punchies, a paper piecing, a border, header, topper, or small bag of embellishments. It can be just about anything that you would use on a page. The items must be in good shape such as no bent, torn, or dirty edges. The stickers should be full modules with no missing stickers.

The trash to treasure swap is basically for the supplies that you don't need or are willing to chance trading to get something different. You never know, what you may consider trash will be a treasure to someone else. If it doesn't become a treasure then it can swapped again in another swap meet.

I hope this helps a little with some ideas.

I just emailed you !! I am in !! I do have a suggestion though.... maybe when we send our stuff to you we can also send a note of what we are working on and some history on us..... I know that I wouldnt want to send someone little girl die-cuts if they don't have girls.... know what I mean??? I think it may help you decide who to send what to !! Just a suggestion though !!!

OK, I'm in - I was going to say I'll have to check first, but I know I have at least 20 pages of CM stickers that I won't use - but I have other stuff too, so it shouldn't be a problem.

Just a question first though -(sorry If Im a little slow on the uptake) - but what;s a module of stickers?
I have a LOT of CM stickers that I will never use, they are on a sheet with perforations, are you just talking about one of the perforations? other than that, I just buy MAMBI stickers and they don't seem to have any perforations - so I guess there you would be talking about the entire sheet?

also I bought a ton of disney supplies that I won't use including this book

would a page out of there be appropriate?

it seems sort of strange to send stuff off that I wouldn't dream of using myself - but as you say, just because it's not my taste doesn't mean that someone else won't love it.

thanks for bumping this, I sorted out my stuff last weekend but I didn't have a large envelope and I had forgotten all about it - I'll go buy an envelope at lunch time.

I'm in the UK, so although I will post this tonight I don't know how long it will take to arrive with you - my passporter just took 3 weeks to get here from the UK! I don't think it should take so long, but once I post it then it's out of my hands.

I posted mine on Saturday - the lady in the post office said it would take about 5 days so hopefully you will get it by the end of the week - I put some extra stuff in to cover the postage, but if the postage is a lot then let me know and I'll send you a gift cert. to 2 Peas, or some other store - as I just looked at the postage costs on www.usps.com and they are much higher than in the UK.
