I am thinking about doing a Trash the Dress session when we go to WDW in November for our belated honeymoon.
Who would I contact to find out about doing one?
Where is the best place to do one?
Is it stupid to do one 9 months after the wedding?

Many brides do their TTD session some time after their wedding.
We did ours a few days after our VR back in May. It was really great fun and the photos we got were among my favourites from the whole trip!!!! We did it at the Poly and had Randy shoot. He arranged everything for us. We shot at SP, on the beach, in the Lagoon and in the pool. Highly recommended!!! If you want to see a small selection of the photos Randy took of our TTD, feel free to check out my TR. The TTD photos start on page 64 (link below)

You could also use a Disney Photographer.

As far as locations at WDW, you would have to stick with taking photos at the resorts. You would not be allowed into any of the theme parks in your wedding attire. Beach pictures would be fabulous for a TTD photo shoot!

Does Randy do underwater pictures? I would really love to have a couple of underwater shots.
Also I thought if you used Disney Photography you could have it at one of the water parks. Is that not correct?

My son and his DF just had their planning session 2 weeks ago for their Disney wedding in August. They are using an off-site photographer. They discussed doing a TTD and were told they couldn't use their wedding photographer, only a Disney photographer could shoot the TTD. Were they given wrong information?

Fairy Godmother - I don't know if Randy does underwater photos. I have never seen any from him, but it would be worth asking. He is so lovely, and will be happy to answer all your queries.
I know that if you use DPS, you can shoot a TTD at a water park. The session has to be done before the park opens and you have to pay for lifeguard(s), so it and work out quite expensive. Good luck, and keep us posted of all your plans, sweetie.

Diamond Girl - I am not 100% sure whether they have been given the wrong information, as the rules change all the time!! It may depend on where they wanted to hold their TTD session. Certainly if you want to shoot at any of the parks or the water parks, they would have to use a DPS photographer.
The question about whether couples, not using DPS, are allowed to wander around the resorts in wedding attire, does come up from time to time. Officially, they are allowed, but there have been reports of people being 'discouraged' from doing so!!! You can understand why Disney would like everyone to use their photographers (and be obliged to officially 'encourage' all brides to do so),but as far as I know, the rules remain the same and allow for anybody to be at resorts, beach areas etc., in wedding attire.
Certainly, when we shot at the Poly with Randy (less than a year ago), we were there over two hours, were on the beach, at Sunset Point, in the Lagoon and in the pool and nobody bothered us once. Quite the opposite, in fact, all the cast we encountered, greeted Randy warmly and congratulated us!!!
All that said Randy is extremely well known at WDW. The cast know he will stick to the rules and not do anything to upset other brides or other guests, and so, I think, they leave him to his own devices.
If your son and his fiancee are using a photographer not so well known at WDW, they may encounter more suspicion, from cast, than we did. I know Randy has recently replied to another Disbride (a S/D bride), that he is happy to do her TTD at the Poly, so I guess he is, currently, still happy to shoot there.

So I booked Randy Chapman for my TTD in November. He was about a 1/4 of the price of Disney. It would be cool to have pictures in the water parks but not $1,000 cool!
My new question is should I do the TTD at the Poly or the Boardwalk?
Originally we were staying at the Boardwalk so I had planned on doing it there. Put I just received a big bonus and am considering staying a couple of nights at the Poly so we can sit on the balcony of the hotel room and look at the place we got married. So now I am wondering if the Poly would be a better place to do the TTD? I do have lots of pictures on the beach there from my wedding.
Any advice or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Sweetie - I am thrilled that you have booked Randy for your TTD and I am sure you will not be disappointed!!!
If you went to the Boardwalk for your session, I assume that you would only get pool pictures as there is no beach there, am I right? At the Poly you have the opportunity of getting both beach/lagoon and pool shots!!! Plus, you can get shots with the castle and the WP in the background!!!
Keep us posted. This is so exciting - I am a big fan of TTD session photos!!!
