Trash pick-up policy change?

We just returned from a great stay at the Boardwalk. The two bedroom #1088 was in perfect condition and over looked the main pool. The resort rehab looked great with the freshly painted buildings and signs.

After we checked out and drove to HH, we realized house keeping emptied the trash daily. Maybe a new house keeper was working the villas this week but it seemed odd the towels were not changed if it was a mistake.

Did anyone else experience this?

Interesting. Maybe they had to chnage thsi cause of all the bug problems they're ahving at soem of the DVc resorts?

Maybe they had you listed incorrectly as a cash guest?

It's possible, I thought it was odd only the trash baskets were serviced (no towels, bed spreads). I wondered if Disney was taking steps to solve the issue of trash bags being set in the hallways possibly attracting bugs/ants.

I dont know how big a problem this is/was (trash bags in hallways) but I think Disney would take steps to correct this pronto adding the service to our maintenance dues.

We have been in 3 different DVC resorts in the last few months and no surprise trash emptying.


Last few trips we have sent housekeeping away on trash and towel day. I take out the trash when needed and we need clean towels on the morn of T&T anyways so I just do them the night before. It saves on expenses and allows them to spend more time elsewhere.

I was just at HH and they did not take may trash daily. One problem I has was the recycling. They want you to recycle but don't have a separate pail for it in the trash bin. Unless I missed it.

The other thing was the people below us left their excess trash on the landing rather than in the room or brining it to the trash bin. I was about to say something but was moved.

They didn't take our trash every day at BCV or Vero.

Unfortunately, continued to see the problem of people leaving trash outside their door at BCV, (it wasn't left from housekeeping, loose beer cans, it was at night, not the whole floor, etc.)
