Trash Mayhem

Snappy title for this thread, no?

anyhow, since I am a complete newbie (renting points) at DVC:

If we generate a ton of trash (diapers, banana peels, asst junk) what do we do with it? I mean, trash day is on day 4 (?) and what to do with a large back-up IF such a thing should happen?

also, read about new coffee makers in some (non-DVC?) rooms....Kidani still has standard drip makers, no?

You take it to the trash room =) The check-in desk should tell you where it's at, if they don't, ask them.

It is my understanding from these forums that some sort of tarring & feathering will occur if you leave the trash bag outside your door. I don't think you'd do that, but I wanted to warn you about the tarring & feathering.

We have a tendency to fill a trash can a day with diapers and what not so my husband will take the trash out to the trash area(for the life of me i cant think of the technical name ) each morning. We would never make it to trash and towel day.

As for the coffee makers they were the same drip coffee makers in our AKV concierge studio in November, but I don't know if they change.

Most of the trash rooms I've visited (sounds like a great vacation photo op, huh?) have been just down the hall. It's not like you haul your garbage through the hotel and drop it in a dumpster out back. They usually have a few trash can liners in the bottom of the cans. If not, you can call housekeeping and request more.

No need to bring your own trash bags. You can request more if you need them. At OKW, each building has a trash room on the main floor. In the hotel type resorts, each floor has a trash room. Usually there will be two large cans, one for recycling and one for trash.

DVC resorts still have the standard Mr Coffee style coffee makers.

I also was able to give the trash bag to mouse keeping who was by their cart. They gladly took it from me with no questions asked with an answer of my pleasure.
