We have received our packet from our agent and I see vouchers for limo service by "Star Transportation." When I look at WDW sites that advertise transportation, I can't find any reference to Star Transportation. When I use a basic search engine, I can find an outfit by that name in Chicago, but its website does not list any service in Orlando. Has anyone ever used or heard of Star Transportation for limo service to WDW?

Is there a contact address and phone number on your voucher? Did you book a travel package offered by WDW or an "outside" travel package (like Funjet or Florida Vacations)?

None of those listing are for the service that you are referring to. Star Transportation is the towncar & limo division of the now defunct TranStar transportation company.

Hasn't TranStar been gone for quite some time? I think I'd be callin' my travel agent.

Thanks for the responses. Sorry for the delay -- we are under tornado warnings here. Seems to be north of us. This is a WDW package, from Disney Travel Co. through an agency. The name of the service provider on my voucher is Star Taxi Shuttle Service. There are two numbers: 1.866.888.5530 and a local Orlando 407.888.5530. The voucher specifically states a "Towncar."
Out of business, you say? Are you sure it's this company?

The charter bus portion of TranStar has been out of business for a year or so.

HOWEVER...

The Taxi/Towncar portion of the company is still in business, and very much alive, from what I can tell. I wouldn't be concerned.

Thanks to all who responded, and especially you, Karen, and Chip 'n' Dale for identifying Star for me. I found a "Star Taxi" reference in Orlando files but could never trace the phone number or the actual company. I guess it helps to know which of their titles is their actual name. It's a small Lincoln, but big enough for four of us, two of whom are only 13. Come on, June 6th!! Beach Club, here we come. Thanks again.

I just want to add...if Disney is now using them for their packages they should be a reputable company. (Which is why I asked if it was WDW travel pkg). On the occasions that I did use the TranStar shuttle vans, I was very satisfied with their service.
