Transportation to WDW from US

Staying at Universal in October. Looking for any suggestions for getting to WDW for one day and looking to go Pleasure Island for the night. Don't have a rent a car. So what is the best way to get there and back. Anyone know how much a taxi would be and would they be available after midnight at Pleasure Island?

You can do a taxi for around $40 (depending on the size of your clan) or do something like Mears for around $12-14 a person.
