Hi, I just booked our trip in june, 2 nights in vero beach and 7 nights at VWL. We are doing vero beach first and my DH can't make it down till the second night. We are flying into and out of orlando. My question is what are my options for transportation to vero beach from the airport? There will be 5 of us the first day and then my husband the second. We really don't want to rent 2 cars. Thanks :earsboy:

I would rent 2 cars. You could return your husbands the same day, I am not familiar with where a rental car outlet is located there. You could go on line to find out where one is. But you can usually rent a small to midsize for less than $50 and your time driving back and forth to MCO is worth more than that. Also would be much cheaper than a private car.
Good luck,
Paula

I agree that I'd look into the rental car option. Your other choice is to arrange a car service. WIth 5, you'd probably need something bigger than a sedan and that wil run into even more $$$$.

Just a quick look on-line pulled up the rates for one limo company. They list a sedan as being for 4 adults and would run $170 one-way to Vero (plus taxes, tips, etc.) Upgrading to a stretch bumps it to $325 one-way.

Wow thanks for the info. I guess I'll start looking at rental cars. :flower:

Also, you will get a hundred different opinions on the best way to go to Vero! We visited last summer for a night in the middle of our Orlando stay, and everyone had their 2 cents on the best way to go.. .For what it is worth, we tried BOTH -- we went down on the Turnpike and came home on #95. I think both were about the same. From the airport I think #95 is closer? It took under two hours both trips. The Disney resort is on a little strip of land that is nothing but resorts, and it is actually outside of Vero beach proper -- north, I think. We thought is was beautiful there! :)
