Does anyone know about getting the bus from Disney to Universal? I plan to spend a day checking out Harry Potter on my trip in October. I've looked but can't seem to find anything on the Boards about this.

There is a shuttle offered by MEARS. On my last trip I simply got the number from the Concierge's desk at ASsports. They picked us up at 7:15 (I think), made a few stops and then dropped us off at US. They also pick up and drop off at other major attractions (Sea World for example). We had to call them 30 minutes before we wanted to leave to let them know and then we walked to the MEARS bus stop and got a ride back to WDW. I think it was 20$ each. I don't have the phone number but here is the link to their web page.

check out www.golynx.com for timetables. It is not a good idea.

You would have to get the #50 but from either the TTC or DTD which stops at Sea World and then goes as an express to the Lynx Central Station in downtown Orlando. This takes just over an hour.

And then it is another hour on the #40 from the Lynx Central Station to the stop at the Universal Studios Parking Garage.

So you are looking at two hours each way on the buses, as well as transfer time and the time spent getting between your Resort and either TTC or DTD. An all-day pass is $4.50.

Taxi will take you directly between your Resort and Universal in under 30 minutes, at a cost of about $40 each way (up to the limit of people in the cab).

universal offeres a ticket transportation ticket combo. Thats what I like, it picks you up from your disney hotel and drops you back off...its included with a one or two day pass..

I believe one of the sticky's in the DIS's Universal forum is about how to get to the parks from disney.
