My family and I plan on going to Universal one day while we are at Disney next month. Other than taking a taxi, are there any shuttles available that we can call? Last year we took a taxi and it was majorly expensive. :scared1:

Thanks!

not sure if maybe at downtown disney as I know there is a bus to take you to sea world from there. We will be doing a day trip to universal from the cbr in Dec, we plan on taking a taxi. was the cost that high? Mears is suppose to be another way to go and we may end up doing that instead:thumbsup2

Mears offers a shuttle from all of the WDW resorts! We just used it when we went to Universal from the Dolphin the second week of August. It was $18 round trip via a 'van'.

Here is the link, under 'quick links' click on "2009 Rates PDF" and you will see it on that attachment! http://www.mearstransportation.com/ShuttleServices.htm

We had the option of leaving at 8:20, 9:20, 10:20 in the morning. For the return trip, you are asked to call approximately TWO hours before you want to go back to your resort!

We did have an issue going from Universal back to our hotel as there was a bus that ended up being used INSTEAD of a van which we were never told! Plus there are often multiple vans and you have to make sure to go up to the driver and find out if they are going to your resort! We ended up having to wait an extra hour at the bus stop for the next pickup! When you are speaking with them on the phone, play it safe and confirm everything as your leaving the park again one last time as you are heading to the bus/van pickup!

I'll give Mears a 'pass' on this one and still recommend them as the pickup in the morning was simple and only included stops at two other resorts in the area before heading to Universal Orlando.

It was like $60 - $70 each way from SSR!
