Transportation to Universal!

We don't want to rent a car for our upcoming trip if we just need cheap transportation to Universal and church. (CHECK OUT MY THREAD-Transportation to...-TO HELP ME WITH CHURCH TRANSPORTATION)


Anyway, do you know of any cheaper transportation to Universal Studios?
(shuttles, taxis, buses, anything cheap!!)

We are willing to travel to anywhere on Disney property (aka OTHER RESORTS) to get a cheap ride to Universal!

No, we're not cheapo's , we just need cheap transportation...AND FAST!

From what I understand, taking the Lynx bus to Universal is rather complicated, it requires a transfer etc.
The least expensive may be to use Mears Transportation. They have a shuttle that goes from the resorts to Universal and Sea World. You just need to call them a day or so in advance and make arrangements with them.
We generally rent a car for the day, this way we can make our own schedule. Renting a car, for us, has been cheaper than a town car service or even Mears.
I can not help with transportation to church, perhaps a taxi?

SOG offers r/t transportation to Universal for $10 Adult/$5 Child (under 4 if free). However, I don't know if you need to have a military ID to use it or if you could call the resort and find out if it's actually offered through Mears (or similar) and could be used by anyone.

you did not mention how many people. This is paramount in finding the least expensive way. Mears shuttle charges per person, Mears taxi's will charge for the ride regardless of the nomber of persons traveling. Check it out before making any moves.

There are 5 people who need to be transported to church and universal. The children are aged 10,12,13.
