Hi, could someone tell me the best way to get to the campfire singalong from DTD? It seems like there are quite a few stops in the Wilderness Lodge and I want to be sure we get off at the right one. Also, does anyone know how long it takes to get there from DTD? Thanks!! :lovestruc

Not sure why you'd want to come in a bus from DtD to Fort Wilderness. If you're already in a car at DtD, I'd just drive on to FW from there.

Also, the Campfire Singalong is not in Wilderness Lodge, but at Fort Wilderness, a totally separate Disney resort.

If you must take a bus to FW, you'll probably have to get off at the front of the resort, and there are internal buses which will take you to where the singalong takes place.

Another option is to get to MK or Wilderness Lodge, in whatever way possible for you, and then take a boat from there to FW, where the dock is on the other side of the resort from the bus stop, and possibly a quicker walk to the singalong.

We don't have a car and I'm not familiar with the Lodge which is why I was hoping someone could help me.

Again, the singalong is NOT at Wilderness Lodge, but at Fort Wilderness. These resorts are adjacent to each other, but are separate resorts, with their own separate bus depots.

I'll also say this: if you see a bus at DtD bound for Fort Wilderness or Wilderness Lodge, just hop on the first one. A bus headed for WL will quite possibly be headed for FW right after that. Do keep in mind that the bus stop at FW is at the front of that resort, and you have to get on a separate bus there to go within the resort, or you could walk.

If you head to WL, you can get off the bus there, walk to the back of WL and catch the next boat heading over to FW.

Whatever way you go, I'd budget a good 45 minutes to an hour for this trip. The DtD bus stop is notoriously slow, and any way you go you're going to have to transfer (either to the internal bus at FW or to a FW-bound boat at WL).

From DTD board the FW or WL bus, whichever gets there first(they may even be the same bus).

If you get to WL first(either on a shared bus or because it was there first), get off at WL and wait there for a FW bus(it comes regularly to WL). The bus from WL to FW is one of the internal FW buses so your good to go there, the stop for the campfire show is the second one after leaving WL(loops 600 and 800).

If you arrive at FW first(direct non shared bus from DTD), get off at FW(Outpost depot) and wait for the Yellow Settlement bus, take that to the second or 3rd stops, both will work.

I did NOT know this. Very good advice. OP: please note this advice if you wish to get from WL to FW. While the boat is certainly a nice and scenic way to go, the above-mentioned internal bus would definitely be a faster way to go.

For what it's worth, you can walk from WL to FW, but it is quite a long walk, and not one to do after dark, as the path is not lighted.

The bus has been running for a long time, but is not very widely known. It is a very easy way to get between the two resorts and much faster(although less scenic) than the boat. If you know about it, getting to the campfire, or even HDDR and Trails End from parks other than MK is sometimes easier than taking the bus to FW(or since these two resorts often share, if WL is first this is what I do)

As with anything pertaining to FW transportation, changes are always possible, but I think this route will be around for a long time.
