Transportation to Magic Kingdom

Trying to decide again and then need recommended time to leave.

I am checking out of the hotel on my Magic Kingdom day and the park opens at 8. I have a rental car and am staying at AKL.

Should I drive to the TTC or take the bus to the Magic Kingdom? What time should I leave AKL if I choose either option assuming I want to be there for rope drop?

Personally, I would just leave my car at the AKL( leave your luggage with bell services) and take Disney transportation (the bus) from your resort to MK. I would be a the bus stop at 7am. Have fun!

I apologize for not being more clear. I understand there is no bus from TTC to MK. I meant

Should I
1) Take my car to TTC and then ferry or Monorail to MK
2) Take the bus from AKL to MK

I agree with DisneyWorldbuff. I'd leave my car at AKL and take the bus from there to Magic Kingdom.

I'd drive.

That way, I could leave directly from the MK parking not and not have to go back to AKL to retrieve the car.

I too would drive so you don't have to go back to the hotel... but if its summer and you have something in your luggage that could melt I would leave that at AKL and take the bus.

I would still leave by 7am to get to the TTC to get to MK by 8am.

If rental means catching a flight home on a somewhat tight schedule leaving MK ... Then I would drive to TTC to avoid the possible (but rare) lengthy bus ride back to AKL

If you are "just" driving to another hotel, then I'd probably stay in the Disney bubble a bit longer and take the bus back to AKL.

You're not supposed to park at resorts for theme park access, unless you're talking about using valet.

Valet is the only way to park at resorts anymore without being a guest of said resort or having an ADR at the resort. Especially for the contemp.

Security at the gates won't allow it anymore. If you are there to dine they'll give you a 3hr parking pass. Still there after 3 hrs and they'll tow.
