Transportation to & from AKL ????

My friend is currently planning staying at AKL concierge in early December for 8 nights. I stayed at Halloween for 4 nights but I had a rental car and split stayed with the Poly so I did MK during our Poly stay. How is the transportation to the parks from & to AKL?? Do you share the bus with another hotel? Realistically what kind of waits should she expect to MK, EPCOT, and MGM?? Thanks for your input.

I was very happy with bus service during our November visit. That was a big factor in choosing to go back in May. AKL doesn't share a bus with any other resort so while the location may be 'out there', since you aren't stopping at other resorts or bus stops, it didn't seem like it took very long at all. I've been left with a worse impression at the WL and Epcot resorts.

My guess on one way ride times:
MK: 15 minutes
Studios or Epcot: 7 minutes
AK: 3 minutes

Other observations:
We never waited more than 10 minutes for bus to or from the parks or DTD. Most waits less then 5 minutes(maybe our timing was just good).
NEVER had to stand.

Thanks Sharon. I gushed so much about the resort she booked there so I was nervous that transportation might be a problem if you didn't have a rental car.

Your welcome Twingle. I actually held back on my GUSHING.

I loved being there in November. We were Concierge level then and doing again in May. It was wonderful. I loved the Christmas tree lights and all from the 6th floor.

DD and I can't wait. I wish the costs for Concierge were a little less. I don't really think AKL should be more than the EPCOT resorts or Poly GV Concierge but oh well. Will stay a few days at cheaper digs to offset the cost a bit but I'm going back!

If your friend is staying concierge at AKL I think she is going to be thrilled! It is considered by many to be WDW's premiere concierge service. They did so much for me I was blown away! Last-minute CRT reservations, best seats in the house at Cali Grille (for Wishes fireworks), ended up adding a Sunday Sunrise Safari b/c of a long waiting list for the one on Saturday, and on and on...
Bus transportation is very good and is not shared but I timed each MK bus trip and they were 19/20 minutes - and that's the ride, not incl. the wait for the bus. But at least you don't stop at other resorts - it's a give and take. If I were staying at GF, it would take me all of 3 minutes to get to MK but it would take close to 20 to get to AK. From AKL it's the opposite.
AKL is worth it! And their concierge is terrific!
