Transportation to Epcot? DTD?

I have read that the bus trip from Wilderness Lodge to Epcot is a long one. Would it be faster to take the Blue Flag boat from WL to CR and then take the monorail to Epcot?

Also, are there any buses that run from the parks to DTD or do I have to go back to a resort and then catch a bus to DTD?

The only thing that makes a WDW bus trip "long" is multiple stops. A bus that went directly from Wilderness Lodge to Epcot would only take 10 min. If it also stops at the Polynesian or Contemporary or Fort Wilderness, that's another matter. In any case a boat ride plus two monorail rides is unlikely to be faster (though it may be more fun).

Disney does not run buses between DTD and the parks because people would (and did) use it to park for free at DTD.
