We are thinking about heading over to Narcoosee's for a dinner and to watch the fireworks during our end of August trip. Three questions: Is it worth the price? How would you get there from BWV if you are not going to MK that day and don't have a car (was thinking either a cab, or bus to MK and then straight to monorail?) What time do you need a reservation in order to watch the fireworks?

I would take the bus to MK and then take the boat to GF for a change of pace instead of the monorail. You may want to allow a little extra time for that. Haven't eaten there so can't address your other questions.

We ate there in June, and it was so-so at best. We paid for the deluxe dining plan, and were very glad that we did because our meal for 2 adults and 15/11 year old boys was close to $350 w/out tip. We were on the dining plan for almost all of our 2 weeks at Disney, and Narcosses was our least favorite signature dinner. We had the whole lobster, the surf and turf, the filet, and the special of the night which was a red snapper. Since we were on the DDP, we did get appetizers, entrees and deserts for each family member. I will say that the deserts were yummy!

You would need to take a bus to the MK, and then take the monorail or the boat from the MK over to the GF. You could take the monorail from EPCOT to the GF, but that's alot of walking from the BWV thru EPCOT to catch the monorail.

This plan sounds good, but you could also consider taking a taxi, just for the convenience. When we were in WDW last December we ended up using taxis several times. Depending on the distance (we were at AKV) it was about $18 including tip.

We had a delightful dinner at Narcoosee's on 7/2. Our server was Tom and he was phenomenal. One of several outstanding servers we encountered on a 9 night trip.

I started with the roasted beet salad which I loved. Then I had the crab crusted flounder and it was delicious (though I wish I had known about the sprouts on there; they weren't listed as an ingredient on the menu. I don't care what kind of sprouts I eat; they always taste a little like dirt to me!) DD's shrimp & scallop pasta was ok....kind of a small portion, but she's 10 so it was enough for her. DS had the kid's Caesar salad & sirloin steak with fries. He was happy with his meal. DS is not a hard kid to please as long as he gets that very meal for dinner :)

For dessert, DS had the kids s'mores; DD had the gelato sampler - she gave me her cappuccino flavor and it was SO good. She said the others were wonderful as well. Really cute presentation in these tall ceramic square dishes with cute little spoons - would be great for a few people to share if they just wanted a nice taste of something sweet. I just had the pressed pot coffee and some Grand Marnier; nothing not to like about that ;)

I would second the recommendation to take a bus to MK, then the boat to GF. It was a long walk all through the resort from the monorail; since Narcoosee's is right on the water, I can only assume the boat dock is much closer. Not sure what time Wishes is the night you want to go, but I'd try to get a reservation no more than an hour to 90 minutes prior. We didn't stay for fireworks (we were staying at BLT and headed to TOTWL after dinner.)

P.S. I thought it was worth the price with my TiW discount. I really enjoyed NOT being on a dining plan this trip. I ate what sounded good and not what I thought would be the best value on the plan.
