Transportation to dining?

We are not planning on renting a car--how do you get to some of these restaurants without a car? THanks!

You either take a bus to Downtown Disney or a theme park and then catch a bus to which ever resort you want to go to from there.

I assume you mean from your resort to another resort. Give yourself at least an hour to get to your destination.

We generally grab a cab if we are eating dinner at a restaurant at a resort other than the one where we are staying. The only other option is the bus service which can be cumbersome trying to get from one resort to another.

I use cabs for resort-to-resort travel. Given the choice of a free bus trip that takes over an hour including transfers, or a $15 cab ride that gets me there in 10-15 minutes, I'll go with the cab every time.

Generally buses work from resorts to parks, but there are other tricks. The Port Orleans resorts have a boat to DTD. If you're going to Chef Mickey's take the MK bus and walk or take the monorail to the Contemporary. The same idea works for Grand Floridian and Polynesian restaurants but you can't walk. There are always buses going to the TTC but it can be crowded depending on the time of day. If you're traveling from a park to a Boardwalk area restaurant take the bus to the Beach, Yacht Club or Boardwalk resorts.

Try planning your park days around your ADRs. If you are eating at a monorail resort or WL, go to MK on that day. Go to HS or EPCOT on the day that you have an ADR at an EPCOT area resort.

I know this does not help you but this is one of the reasons that we alwys rent a car, whether we are staying on site or off. Time is too precious to waste when we are at WDW.

Another vote for cabbing it! Atleast do the cab on the way to your meal so you get there on time (resort to resort). Then once the meal is over you can use the busses to get where you want more leasurly.
