Transportation to Busch Gardens from WDW

We're planning a 8 day Disney trip next February and we were thinking of going to Busch Gardens for a day. Has anyone taken the $10/person shuttle from WDW to Busch Gardens? Does anyone know where the most convenient pick-up location is?

Is it better to rent a car vs. using the shuttle to BG?

The best pick up is probably the one at the Premium Outlets. Haven't done it myself, but from what I have read that's the one closest to WDW.
