Transportation to Airport

My DH and I will be making a trip to WDW in September. We are annual passholders and will be doing a 4 night cruise on the Wonder from Sunday-Thursday, and then 3 nights at the Boardwalk Thursday-Sunday. We booked the cruise and the room seperately, but purchased Disney transfers which will take us from the airport to the ship, and then the ship to our resort. Unfortunately, we have yet to arrange transportation from the resort back to the airport on our last day, and this is not included in our transfers. What would you do to get back to the airport on Sunday - taxi, towncar, shuttle? Also, what time would we need to leave the Boardwalk if our flight is at 8pm?

We'd welcome any and all suggestions! Thank you!

If it were me, I'd make arrangements with one of the towncar services. Cost is similar to or slightly less than a taxi ($45 plus tip). I THINK Mears shuttle service is currently about $16 each for a one way trip, but am not sure If you use one of the shuttles (like Mears), you will not have any choice of pick up times. The towncar service will make a recommendation for time, but you can usually negotiate something different if you prefer. I'd allow 35 - 45 minutes for the actual trip to the airport. Add to that, the amount of time your airline / airport recommends that you arrive prior to departure. FWIW, the MCO airport web page is currently recommending that you arrive 2 hours before you flight is scheduled to depart.

HTH.

We had one way with Mears in January. Not sure, but i thought we paid $18 per person.
So for that $, I would choose YourRide. (Heck, I would go with YourRide over Mears any day.)
YourRide: No waiting, no other resort stops. You are not on a full bus. They pick you up when you want them to. (Mears tells you when they will pick you up.)
YourRide helps with your luggage.
We left the resort two hours before our flight was due to leave.

I would definitely chooise a towncar over a taxi. We always use Happy Limo, but we took a taxi once because we did kind of a spontaneous extension of a trip, and it cost more money. As for Mears, they are okay but I don't like the whole cattle-call thing. A private towncar is the way to go!
