Hello--
I have a couple of transportation questions. We are staying in WDW and will not be renting a car.
1. To get groceries, is it worth it to take a taxi to nearest grocery store or is a delivery service the better idea?

2. We'd like to go off site one day to SeaWorld. Again, do most people call a cab for this type of trip?

3. At the end of our WDW stay, we will need to transport to the port for a 3-day Disney cruise. Since the land/sea package dates didn't work for us, I booked it myself and now have to arrange my own transportation to the cruise port. Any suggestions on a good service to go with?

Thank you for any help you can offer me!

Can't help with most of the questions, but there's no reason you can't book DCL transport from the resort to the port and back to the airport. You don't have to be on an "official" land-sea package. Just contact DCL and add it to your reservation. Depending on how many people you have, however, it can be cheaper to book a town car for your transfers. I think the current DCL transfer cost is around $70/person and a town car is around $210 plus tip.

1. You'll probably spend about $10-15 on a cab. I would put an order in with www.gardengrocer.com for anything you may need. What you spend for a cab will be about the same as a delivery fee, and you don't have to spend the time shopping. They will deliver it to your resort and leave it with bell services if you aren't there to receive it. Just have to prepay for it. That's what I'll be doing in August.

2. You have several options for transport to SW. A cab, a towncar or the Lynx bus system. A towncar will run about $60 roundtrip, not sure about a cab. The Lynx system is pretty good for travel to SW. It's about $1.50 pp, each way..exact change is a good thing. The bus leaves from the TTC on a set schedule. Be sure to let the bus driver know you want to get off at SW when you board the bus. I forgot to and had to hike back to SW!!! For exact schedules check here....www.golynx.com You'll be looking at the #50 bus if I remember correctly. And Mears may run a shuttle bus but you better check that out..not sure what the story is on that.

3. Transport to Port C....if you aren't renting a car, you have several choices here. Either use DCL shuttle bus...about $60-70 per person r/t, or hire a towncar for about $200 or so. We are arriving in port a few days before our cruise leaves port, so need to rent a car.
