Transportation question

My daughter and I are staying at Sapphire Falls. We have a day at Discovery Cove and I’m curious what transportation is like. I want to get there first thing and I don’t know if I should rent a car or use Uber or the hotel transportation. Also our trip to/from airport.

We Uber'd everywhere and it worked very well. Not too expensive and they typically came within five minutes. If you want to get there first-thing, this is what I'd do.

It was $11 from Portofino and about the same for the return.

From the airport we had to get XL and it was a little under $40 each way.

Hi I agree with Uber. We did this and it cost me $6.00 each way from Cabana Bay to Discovery Cove. We made our reservations the night before. It was nice and easy.

As far as the airport to the resort we only use Tony Hinds. He has his own car company and is amazing. If you search his name he has his own thread. He gets great reviews and is very reasonable.

I second Tony Hinds. He does a grocery stop if requested which I really liked.

Cabana Bay is across the street from Sapphire Falls, so you would pay a similar amount for Uber. We are staying at Sapphire Falls this trip, we really liked it walking through it last year. My DS really loves the boat ride to city walk.

If you are only planning on Universal/Islands and Discovery Cove, I would do what Bobbie 68 is suggesting. If there is a lot of off site stuff you like to do, it makes sense to get a car.

Also, I have tried looking into Universal’s airport transportation. Unless something changed it seems you need to book the transportation as part of a package. It doesn’t seem bookable separately.
