Well, you could probably have a car dealer deliver a brand new car to MCO and wait for you to pick it up. Maybe a Rolls Royce?

JK. If you think you will use a rental car, that's what I would do. Otherwise, the town car services do a great job.

You ask two questions like they are one and the same, when in reality, they are two questions which will have answers the opposite of each other.

Generally, the best (most comfortable/convenient) will be the most expensive, while the least expensive will likely be the worst (most uncomfortable, least convenient).

To answer your intended question: I believe the least expensive way would be using Mears. Their fares are $34 RT / $21 1-way for each adult, $27 RT / $17 1-way for each child (ages 4-11). You will share a shuttle with others and will drop off at other hotels. You can check their prices and make a reservation here: https://secure.mearstransportation.com/PriceReq.asp

This puts you at between $95 and $102 RT, depending if it's 2 adults / 1 child or 3 adults (or child older than 11).

A town car will cost you around $130 RT, plus tip, for 3 people, but they'll meet you at baggage claim, you'll be the only passengers (thus getting to your resort faster), and they'll include a grocery stop.

As another poster said Mears would probably be the cheapest at $34.00 r/t per adult and $27.00 r/t per child ($95.00-$102.00 r/t for the three of you depending on if one is a child under 11 y/o). However, don't forget that Wyndham Bonnet Creek is now charging $6.00 per day per person for their park shuttle, so that would be $18.00 per day for you guys. I think I would go with a rental car. It would be cheapest overall for your trip. I just came back from Bonnet Creek (was there Sept 14th-22nd). I was solo and considered using Mears then the BC shuttle. Even for one person a rental car made more sense. Driving at WDW is very easy, even for people like me that have no sense of direction. Take the south or north exit out of the airport and follow the signs. Once inside WDW signs are everywhere. Plus having your own rental car makes going resort to resort so easy for dining reservations. For that matter with a car Epcot and DS are both maybe five minutes from Bonnet Creek (as is DTD). Much faster than using the shuttles. My understanding is that each BC shuttle goes to two parks.

I just looked them up for transportation from Sanford Orlando airport and for 5 people its $180 *one* way.


ETA- there is no shared shuttle from Sanford, its a car/van that brings you.

Sanford Airport is farther from WDW and neighboring resorts than is MCO. The OP was asking about MCO. There are some other threads with information about transportation from Sanford, so those might be helpful to you Calirya. When we've flown into Sanford, we just rent a car. Haven't done that in a few years though.
