Transportation options to DLP if needing to avoid the RER?

We're arriving into Paris from London either by train or plane and then will spend the next day in the city before heading to DLP the following day. Besides airport shuttle and RER, do we have any other options for getting to Disneyland from Paris?

I'm trying to figure out if it is best to stay at an airport hotel and take the train into the city for the day before taking the shuttle to Disney that evening. We will have a lot of luggage and don't want to take the RER.

I would prefer to stay at a hotel in the city that has more atmosphere, but I am worried about how I would get to DLP without a huge expense.

We just stayed at the CDG Hilton for a few days to visit Paris before taking the TGV to DLP.

Granted, the atmosphere is no where near as exciting as in the city, but we got a fabulous discount through our employer so it made sense for us. Really easy to take the RER B to the city. Took about 30-40 minutes to arrive at the St. Michel/Notre Dame stop, but it felt fast and simple.

Since I don't know firsthand (I'm sure locals can be of more help) but I would bet there are shuttle services that you could use from the city to DLP.

We used EZSHUTTLE to go back to CDG for our flight home (TGV didn't depart early enough) and it was seamless.

So is the TGV more "luggage friendly"? That may a good option for us. How was the Hilton and how hard was it to get to the RER B from the hotel? So many of these airport hotels don't seem equipped for families with the bedding offered. Thanks so much for the help.

Hilton was just fine. Large, clean rooms. Our room had a tub and seperate shower. Had king bed with foldout couch that fit the 3 of us comfortably. We also spent 10euros more for the Executive Lounge. Nice for breakfast and light evening snack (beer/wine) upon return in the evening.

The most difficult part of the Hilton was finding it when we arrived from our flight. (signs were poor in the airport) but we found it eventually. Once in the hotel getting on the train to Paris is nothing. As you walk out of hotel, to your left you'll see a walkway with signs to the bus/RER station. Literally a 1 minute walk. We bought tickets at the booth and went to the city.

From CDG, it is a 9 minute ride on the TGV to DLP. As soon as you step aboard there are luggage racks. Easy. We didn't have an excessive amount of bags (2 rollers, 2 smaller bags that attached) and it was nothing.

To get to the TGV from the hotel, you go the same way as if you were taking RER. In the building you'll see signs to Terminal 2. You take the "train" (typical underground train system at airports) to Terminal 2, go up the escalator and the TGV station is to your right. From hotel to TGV at Terminal 2 it took at most 8 minutes (and we just missed the train so we had to wait).

Our bags weren't crazy big so it was not a problem as they fit just fine on escalators.

We stayed at Disneyland Hotel so the walk from the TGV station to the hotel was simple.

We used EZYshuttle last year. They were on-time and professional. I'd recommend them if you want a driver. We were 3 adults and 2 kids with LOTS of bags. Convenient to have someone help with bags and all. However, it was torture driving to Disneyland through traffic. Took almost 2 hours.

We're taking Ezshuttle from CDG to a hotel near DLP this summer. We'll be staying there as our base for exploring Paris and DLP - which made sense with the make up of our group (allowing us to avoid too many hotel changes and baggage transfers).

If you're not going to stay in the city, maybe consider adding a night to your DLP reservation and taking the RER from there for the day? You would have one less baggage transfer that way - and wouldn't have to worry about how to transport it all again on Day 2.

We would love to stay a 5th night at Disneyland Hotel, but the price from 4 nights to 5 nights goes up like $800. We're getting 2 nights free on the Summer 2016 package and having an odd number of nights will not work. So, we will either spend the night at the airport and take the train to DLP the next day after sightseeing (if we fly) or stay in the city and take the shuttle to DLP the next day after sightseeing (if we go by train).

Your best option would be to get a cheaper hotel offsite near DLP then you can either get the train direct from London to Marne la Vallee (Disney land station) or a shuttle service from the airport to that hotel.
You can then go into Paris by RER the following day and it will be quick and easy to transfer you luggage on the day you check into DL hotel.
It also means if you get back from Paris early enough you can go to Disney Village or Val d'Europe for a look round whereas there is nothing close by the airport really.
The airport is the opposite side of Paris to DLP so you are travelling further by going back and forward to the airport
