I posted this on the transportation board, but thought I might want to post here as well. We booked a Land & Sea. Are staying at the BCR. We booked an all-inclusive through Disney. Do they really take care of your luggage at the resort the night before and you don't see it again until it's outside your stateroom?? Wow - that would be nice! Just checking! Also, how does the transportation work from the resort to the pier? How long is the ride? I'll be having a car seat and stroller. Heard that the airport to the resort is an hour. Does anyone know what type of transportation that is also. Just wondering how we are going to do this. Hope we're not scrunched. Thanks for anyone's expertise out there!

You will be instructed at your resort when you check in when you will need to have your luggage ready for pickup - for us it was 8am. We had already gone to breakfast at AK, so we just took our day bags and left our luggage. Next time we saw it was outside our stateroom.

The DCL rep at your resort will also tell you when to catch your bus to the port. Should be around 12-12:30. You can also catch it at AK if you elect to have Donald's Breakfastosaurus and go to the park until noon. The ride was just about an hour from AK to the port.

The ride from the airport to the resort was less than an hour and there was luggage storage under the bus plus overhead storage. It wasn't too crowded as buses are continuously running. The buses were the same from airport to resort as from resort to port. They're big, comfortable, air-conditioned and have informational videos playing.

Feel free to ask if you have more questions. We just came back last week.

Thanks so much for the info! That sounds great! So, I take it that we can just put the stroller underneath the bus with the other luggage and will bring the car seat onto the bus. That's great that you got to spend a little more time the morning of your cruise at WDW before heading off to the pier. Sounds like you had a great time! Let me know if there are any "must do's"! Can't wait!

The storage areas under the bus both from the airport to resort, resort to port and port to airport were mainly for large carry-ons, strollers, etc. because your luggage is transported separately. When we checked in our luggage after disembarking the ship, we watched it get loaded into a truck while we went and got on the bus. You can put the stroller and car seat underneath, bring them on with you (depending on the size) or do one below and one with.
As far as "must do's" - that's a tough one because everyone is different. We didn't do Palo, didn't do any excursions, saw only one of the onboard shows and still had an outstanding time. We didn't expect to buy any pictures from Shutter's or do a character meal, but we did both. My advice would be to read everything but don't over plan. Sounds like an impossibility, but just being aware of your options doesn't mean you have to exercise all of them.

You can check the car seat since I don't believe that the DCL buses have seatbelts to install them.
