I'd like to try to start this thread as a sort of Transportation Guide for each DVC resort, explaining in detail how each resort's different transportation systems work. I'm limiting this to the WDW resorts. Please bear with me as I gather information and get it ready for posting. I welcome any input from those with the experience, as I haven't stayed at all of the resorts, and much of my starting knowledge is simply gleaned from reading these boards. I hope you all find it helpful.

Transportation Options

Magic Kingdom:
Monorail -- Walk from 5th floor of BLT south elevators over the sky bridge to the Contemporary (this is on the 4th floor of the CR entering near the Fantasia gift shop), then up the escalator/elevator to the monorail platform. The clockwise path of the Resort Monorail track takes you first to the Ticket and Transportation Center followed by the Polynesian and the Grand Floridian resorts before reaching the MK. On the return trip from MK, the Contemporary is the first stop.
Walking Path -- Walk from ground floor of BLT across the parking lot to the walking path, past the MK bus stops, to the MK entry plaza.

Epcot:
Monorail -- Walk from 5th floor of BLT south elevators over the sky bridge to the Contemporary (this is on the 4th floor of the CR entering near the Fantasia gift shop), then up the escalator/elevator to the monorail platform. The clockwise path of the Resort Monorail track takes you first to the Ticket and Transportation Center. At the TTC change to the Epcot monorail and enjoy the ride to Epcot.

Hollywood Studios:
Animal Kingdom/Blizzard Beach:
Downtown Disney/Typhoon Lagoon:
Bus -- Walk from the ground floor of BLT toward the northwest corner of the Contemporary Tower to find the shared bus stop. Morning buses will likely stop at the Polynesian or the Wilderness Lodge before continuing to the park. Buses later in the day will first stop at the Polynesian and the Grand Floridian before continuing to the park.

Wilderness Lodge/Fort Wilderness Campground:
Boat Launch -- Walk toward the back of the Contemporary tower and head down the pier to the Blue Flag Boat launch. The boat operates between 6:55 am and 11:30 pm daily. The morning loop stops first at Fort Wilderness and then Wilderness Lodge before returning to the Contemporary. After 3pm, the loop is reversed.
