I was wondering. If you stay at wdw on points than transfer to the dcl is transportation included.I was thinking of stayimg 4-5 days at ssr and than maybe doing the 3 night Wonder cruise. thanks in advance.:)

It is not covered you will have to pay the per person charge for transportation from the resort to the cruise terminal. It may actually be cheaper though to do a one way rental. I can't remember who the car companies at the cruise terminal are. You may want to ask in the cruise forum.

We used Florida Tours for our DCL transfers. They were very good and are a sponsor on the DIS. Give them a try.

Transportation to/from the port is not free for anyone. If you have more than two people it is usually cheaper to rent a car and drive yourself to the port and then rent another car for the trip back.

I would say for more than 2 people, hire a limo service! We have used a couple, but like Southern Elegance best. "Limo" sounds extravagant, but a towncar ends up being cheaper than DCL transfers if you have more than a couple of people.

Hi!

I just did what you are asking (stayed at SSR and went on the Wonder all on points) with my crew of 5 in December.

For anyone, cash reservation or points, it costs $69 roundtrip a head to go with the WDW bus transfer.

After much research on the cruise boards, I decided to go with a town car service, which was significantly cheaper and more tailored to my family's needs. A complementary stop at a grocery store was included, as were tolls and all of my three kids' car seats. Tip was extra. They picked up when we returned at the port as well. We had the same driver and he nicely played Toy Story 1 and then Toy Story 2 on the van DVD. We had a van because of our family size. My neighbor also did this car service (Town Car of Orlando), and her husband was thrilled to save so much money on their group of 10!

There were no worries about the guy not showing up. He called the day before our cruise to confirm and gave us his cell number. He was extremely professional and the vans were spotless. I was scared to go in them with my messy kids for fear that they would reck the vehicle's prestine condition during the drive! :rotfl:

You can register online with them with your info. They accept credit cards for each way when they perform the service.

Enjoy!
