Hello DISers,

Me and the DBF are doing a split stay at Universal/Disney. We will be staying at Universal and move to disney. Because of the move, buying groceries before universal (only staying 2 1/2 days) seems illogical because the things we would put in the freezer: milk, strawberries, cheese....would go bad by the time we got to Disney. (checking out at 11, having hotel hold luggage, then going to US/IOA until 7ish, pick up luggage, go to disney). We will be flying in and need to find transportation that will take us from MCO to Doubletree at Entrance of Universal. Then 2 days later.....pick up from hotel, publix, AOA. (will use Magical Express to go back to hotel)

- am willing to use two different services
- Cheapest transportation possible would be nice but towncar service is preferred.

For your situation, would you consider just renting a car at MCO and keeping it until you get to AoA? That seems like the easiest thing to do in your circumstance and it probably would cost less than doing a town car from MCO to the US Doubletree and from there to AoA. Depending on which car rental agency you use, you could return to the Care Care Center or Dolphin or one of the DTD good neighbor hotel locations.

P.S. You might consider changing the title of your thread. My initial answer was going to be "walk."

Thanks about the title already done!. I thought renting a car would be good too but I would have to rent a car for 3 days and the best price I could find for it would be 500 as I am over 21 but less than 25. I think a taxi would be much cheaper than that... any towncars that do a grocery stop between destinations--not just MCO to hotel?

You can probably request a stop from any town car service. Just mention it when you make a reservation or tip your driver for an extra stop; any extra charge will surely be less than $500.

Ah, to be young. I would call a town car service, explain what you need, and get a quote for your reservation. From MCO to a US hotel, Tiffany Towncar quotes $65 one way. Then, I think you'd be looking at about $50 plus tip for the car from your US hotel to AoA. I would guess they'd add in a grocery stop for a nominal charge. See this link for Tiffany's rates: http://www.tiffanytowncar.com/tc_rates.html FL Tours is a board sponsor and is probably similarly priced. (I've used Tiffany and would vouch for them; I haven't used FL Tours, but if they are a board sponsor, they've been vetted.) Have a fun trip!
