Transportation from US/IA to WDW?

Does anyone know if there is any transportation from Universal Studios to Beach Club Resort at WDW? Four of us (2 couples) are staying at Beach Club Villas. We plan to spend one day at US/IA. One couple is staying for the Stay & Scream, the other couple is not. We will have a rental car which we will drive to the park. One couple will drive it back to WDW resort, and the other couple will need to take some other form of transportation. Any suggestions? I'm not crazy about paying for a taxi. Are there any shuttles that you know of? Thanks.

You can schedule a Mears shuttle. It's less expensive than a taxi, but also less flexible. You need to reserve the trip ahead of time. There are only certain times available. You'll share the van with others, and possibly stop at several places along the way.

We tried the shuttle on our Sea World day, and then decided on taxis for Universal. It was more expensive, but worth being able to come and go on our schedule.

We'll be taking a taxi from our hotel (POFQ) to US and back. The price is only around $27 and since the Mears shuttle is $12 per person each way I'll gladly pay the difference for all that extra convenience. If you go to the Mears' website they can give you an online quote for your specific taxi route.

I'm assuming that $27 is one way, correct? I believe that's what I saw someplace.

That's correct - $27 one way. I just saw on the boards though that Mears shuttle is $15 pp round trip to US. Though I can't vouch for that.

Thought I'd put this here. What is best when going from airport to WDW Swan to US Hard Rock to the airport. I am not interested in Mears but don't want to get screwed on a Taxi. Any suggestions??? Thanks for your comments.

According to the taxi fare estimator in the "Other Popular Transportation Links" sticky http://www.mearstransportation.com/TaxiFareEstimator.asp, from USF/IOA to Epcot (one of the default locations; if you have the Beach Club address you can get a more accurate price) it should cost $29.75 - plus tip, and assuming no traffic delays.
That's a few dollars more than the Mears shuttle, but SO much more convenient. If you choose Mears, though, I don't think the issue is limited service but rather that they request you call two hours before your return to schedule it so they can be prepared for you. The one time I took that shuttle, I called - and they said to head on over to the Hub right then. Sure enough, there were a number of buses and as a solo traveler I was able to board one that was about to leave.

I have to make a decision soon...going to Universal for just one day..probably something like 9-3 or so, and have to decide what's the best way to get there and back from BWV for the four of us. It looks like a cab is going to run almost the same as a towncar service. Anyone have any thoughts on which way to go...possible good and bad about each mode?
Hey Edd, this might be a good time to chime in....don't want to be all squished in there, but want to get there efficiently and back again in a timely fashion. 2 average sized moms, 2 toothpick dd's...tall but skinny.
