I have read about a few options (not DME) but cannot seem to seperate them out. Some are $20 some are $100 with a grocery stop?? Can anyone give me info on options and cost for a family of Four with luggage?
:goodvibes
TIA

Lynx Bus - the lower cost option you mention (not recommended) - no grocery stop
Taxi - mid price - can stop for groceries, but meter will be running
Town car service - mid to higher priced and depends on the number of bags and some won't as they won't allow a rider in the passenger seat - some also include a grocery stop in the price
Limo/SUV - higher priced - some include a grocery stop in the price

Many of the limo companies will you give you a cost estimate based on vehicle selection and destination. Mears can also give you a fare estimate on their website.

www.happylimo.com is one company with rates posted.

If you used DME you could use a grocery delivery service to get your food items delivered to your resort and hold them at Bell Services until you arrive.

The $20 option is probably paying for Mears. The current cost for Mears shared shuttle service is $21 per adult o/w or $34 R/T. Guests eligible to use DME won't be using Mears. It's a per person charge.

The flat rate charged by a car service is generally less then the metered rate charged by a taxi. Many car services offer a complimentary grocery stop. R/T car service is around $100-$120 + tip.

Another option is to rent a car. You can rent it for your entire trip or rent it one day/one way with a drop off at a WDW area location.

edited to add Mears has a taxi fare estinator on their website. The estimated fare from MCO to a couple of WDW locations is $50-$55. The flat rate charged by a car service is likely to be less then the meter, assuming you don't need a grocery stop. Add a grocery stop and the car service will definitely be cheaper.
