transportation from Long Beach

I know that this has been talked about before, but I am curious if anyone recently has taken a cab from LB to DL instead of the shuttle? I have been quoted 40 flat rate cab and shuttle for 3 of us would be 53. I was just looking for input on transportation? Thanks

I think some cabs have a flat rate fare (Yellow Cab I believe does - I saw a sign when we were in one), but not all do. I asked a cabbie what the fare was from LAX to our hotel and he told me $90. Uh, no thanks! I can get a private Town Car for less than that, so I think I'll pass.

I just flew into LB airport this last Friday and took a cab to Park Vue Inn. The fare was $40.00 to our hotel but coming back to the airport on Sunday was more expensive. We paid $55.00 for our return trip in a Towne car. Our hotel was nice enough to call several different taxi companies looking for a lower rate but $55.00 was the lowest we could find. Some companies were more. Good luck!

We usually just rent a car. The drive is easy- one road (wardlow becomes ball), no turns until you get to Harbor. I'm paying $58 (will all the taxes and fees) for a compact rental from Thur night until Monday night, from Alamo.
