We got a really great deal on airfare on Jet Blue but we have never flown them OR into Long Beach. Need to know about transportation to the hotels near the park and costs if anyone knows. Also if you know anything about Jet Blue or that airport that would be awesome. Thanks. :)

LGB is smaller than SNA. It's about 20+miles from DLR.
Last March a cab flat rate was about $50 or $55. There were 5 of us with two carry-on's each, there was plenty of room in a mini van cab.
The return ride was about $5 less.... Go figure????

I know the area really well and when the driver picked us up to return to LGB, he went the opposite direction. Made me a little nervous needless to say. Finally I got up enough nerve to ask if he was taking us to LGB. It looked more like we were headed to SNA. He said it was the way he goes.... Once he turned and were headed in the correct direction I felt better.

SNA and LGB are the two airports we like to use.
Jet blue is nice, the kids liked the TV's for each seat. Take the earbuds or ear phone so you can watch TV or listen to music.
Jet blue prices can put Alaska to shame at times.
In December we go down on Alaska(SNA) and return JetBlue(LGB). It was the only way to get the best airfare.

So then is it like SNA where you go out to the cab stand and ask for the flate rate up front? There will be 4 of us so not sure if it is cheaper to do the cab or use the shuttle. Glad to know you enjoyed Jet Blue. As I said we have never flown them or go into LGB but I have heard a lot of people do and like it. We saved almost 100 per ticket from what southwest was charging though so WELL worth it. Thanks for the info!!

I also love LGB and Jet Blue. Last November we took a cab flat rate of $45 from the airport. When we got the cab going back to the airport I asked for a flat rate of $45 and the driver said sure. This year we are flying into SNA (got a great Southwest fare) and are paying $44 r/t for both of us.

JetBlue and LGB are great. It's my preferred airline and airport. LGB is small and super easy to get around. I usually just take Super Shuttle over to the parks.

Echoing the other sentiments here, Jet Blue is great, and I love LGB as an airport. You will deplane/board via ramps just so you know ahead of time (so booking the back rows of seats is actually advantageous for getting on/off the plane earlier @ LGB). Can grab a shuttle or cab would probably be the easiest ways to get to DLR.

Yep that is because it is actually quicker to take the 5 South to the 22 West to the 405 North when you are right by the DLR, it does seem weird directionally but time wise is usually the fastest!

We only fly into LGB (from Seattle) now. It is SO easy, such a small airport. The taxi line is right outside and it's a flat rate of $45 to Disneyland. Last time we stayed our last night at the GCH and got a cab from the hotel. Same flat rate.
