Originally I planned for us to fly into SNA...but I found way better prices from Seattle to Long Beach and I have those tickets on hold. My problem now is that we weren't planning on bringing our heavy Britax carseats with us on the airplane.

Are there any transportation options from Long Beach to Disneyland that won't require carseats? I have a 2 year old and a 4 year old.

Thanks!

I'm not sure how Super Shuttle works it, but maybe they have carseats available for use in their vans? You could call and find out. They operate out of LGB.

We have used super shuttle and always had to provide our own car seat. And, the vans have the older type seat belts that require a locking clip ("I" shpaed metal clip) to keep the car seat installed properly.

I honestly can't think of any options with out a car seat. A cab, rental car, or super shuttle/ Karmel shuttle are all I can think of from LGB. If you fly into SNA you can take the disneyland express bus and wouldnt need car seats. If you rent a car you can rent seats, but they are $10 per day, per seat!

Thanks for the feedback--you both are confirming what I suspected. *sigh* Gosh darn it, I should have known those low fares were too good to be true for us!

Would buying two Cosco Sceneras for about 50 each (walmart, usually) be less, total, than changing the tickets?

I didn't have a carseat issue, but when I booked us once to go into Ontario for cheaper flights, I didn't realize that there was a vast difference in supershuttle rates from Ont vs SNA. Now I take it all into consideration for the lowest overall price...airfare, shuttles from whichever airport, and in your case, carseat needs! :)

It is possible, though, that a taxi arranged ahead of time, or a limo company might have carseats to rent.

My DD is 4 almost 5 ~ her primary seat is a Britax Marathon, we love the Cosco Scenera as her travel seat, back up seat, seat for Grandma's car, Aunt Nikki's car ~ it really is a great 2nd seat. We used a Scenera last month on our Jet Blue flight into Long Beach ~ it's super light and easy to carry on your back (through the airport), I'd be happy to post foto's if you'd like. DD used it on the plane (super easy install) and on our ride (I had prearranged for a driver recommended from the board) from the airport to the Desert Inn and on our ride back to LGB. :hippie:
I'm a child passenger safety technician if you have any other ?'s or you could check out www.car-seat.org for all child passenger/car seat ?'s.
